Parent Testimony:

Hi John:

Just spoke to the mother of a student and she wanted me to know that
Henry really enjoyed the class, the role plays, etc. and that he told
her he had a whole new towards his driving.

She told me before the class, Henry's attitude was that speed zones
were a joke and he would drive however fast he wanted to. He told his
mother that his thinking has changed because of the class and that it's not
worth risking his life and the life of others when he's behind the wheel.
She also said that he told her your class was far more insightful and
helpful than his driver education class.

Lastly, she said she can actually ride as a passenger now when he's
driving!!! I told her we are very proud to have you to recommend to
participants in the deferral program and that I was so pleased with her
story and would pass the comments on to you.

As always, keep up the good work!

Defensive Driving Course - Alive at 25

alive_teendvr.jpg - 4425 Bytes

It's time for a change in focus.

Introducing Defensive Driving Course-Alive at 25, second edition. This young driver intervention program, available in English and Spanish, zeroes in on drivers between the ages of 16 and 24 - the group most likely to be involved in fatal collisions. This highly interactive four-hour program teaches young drivers how to take control of situations by taking responsibility for their own driving behavior.

Vehicle crashes are the #1 cause of death for people between the ages of 16 and 24. The National Safety Council, a leader in driver improvement training for more than 40 years, developed DDC-Alive at 25 to specifically target drivers in this age group.

bulletSince 1995, more than 400,000 young adults have learned life-saving defensive driving skills through DDC-Alive at 25.
bulletIn a recent study by the Colorado State Patrol, 93% of DDC- Alive at 25 participants said they would change their driving behavior afterwards.
bulletCourts and schools nationwide use DDC-Alive at 25 in their graduated license and violator programs.

This highly interactive four-hour program encourages young drivers between the ages of 16 and 24 to take responsibility for their driving behavior. Skill practices and on-the-spot defensive driving techniques help change bravado to confidence.

Our DDC-Alive at 25 instructors use personal examples and even humor to get their point across. They use workbook exercises, interactive media segments, group discussions, role-playing, and short lectures to help young drivers develop convictions and strategies that will keep them safer on the road.

DDC-Alive at 25 teaches young adults that:

bulletPeople in their age group are more likely to be hurt or killed in a vehicle crash.
bulletInexperience, distractions, and peer pressure cause unique driving hazards.
bulletSpeeding, alcohol, and "party drugs" greatly increase their risk of injury or death.
bulletAs a driver or passenger, they can greatly reduce their risk by taking control.
bulletCommitting to changing their driving behavior makes personal, legal and financial sense.
