The "Instructor Development Course" (IDC) for DDC-PTD is a 3 day course. The IDC course includes 1 year instructor certification through the National Safety Council and the respective IDC Instructor Manual.

The National Safety Council’s Professional Truck Driver Defensive Driving Course gives them the tools to carry out this responsibility.
